This is what it comes down to..after several weeks of hype, talk and promises, it ALL comes down to this one match at Wrestle War for the World Heavyweight Championship, all the biggest names will be taking part in this match and vying for the richest prize in the game and it's a match that will put every tag team and stables to the ultimate test. Paul Heyman made the big announcement sometime ago regarding the AEW Championship and that it would be decided during the 60-Man Wrestle War Match and from that moment on AEW has been consumed with talk but with Wrestle War just around the corner, that all comes to a end and the time for action begins. Every man walking into this match has the HOPE that when it's all said and done they will be crowned the NEW World Heavyweight Champion but that can only become a reality for ONE man. Austin Aries has done several things in AEW, Television Champion, Tag Team Champion but the one thing he hasn't done is win the AEW title, will that change at Wrestle War? That's the biggest question heading into Wrestle War, who will leave with the title? The Attitude Era Wrestling logo slowly fades away and the scene opens outside a three story building in the heart of New York City, not far from Times Square and as we look at this building it's not hard to imagine it being a luxury law office with see through glass windows but as the scene comes into the building we can see it's something very different. As the camera slowly moves down the hallway we can see some of the plaques that hang on the walls, names from years past..Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Roddy Piper and Andre The Giant..just to name a few. The camera keeps moving down the hallway and looks at the staircase leading to the next floor, before that the camera suddenly comes to a stop as we see Austin Aries standing there with his arms crossed and looking at some of the names on the wall, moving from name to name with a big smile on his face, probably imagining what his name in the hall of fame would look like. He quickly turns to face the camera but keeps looking at the names on the wall as he begins to speak.

"Look at ALL the names on these walls! some of the greatest names to EVER grace this business and it's only a matter of time before my name appears on this very wall and winning the World Heavyweight title at Wrestle War will bring me much closer to that goal. To tell you the truth I don't think I should just have a plague on a wall but a WHOLE floor dedicated to the greatest man that ever lived, I can see it now..all the kids running through these halls with their parents and pointing at my plague and saying.."that's Austin Aries! the greatest wrestler that ever lived." I could see it being the biggest attraction in the history of professional wrestling with everyone around the world coming to see it."

"I gotta ask..what the HELL was Booker T thinking when he made his list of the top 5 wrestlers to win at the Wrestle War and didn't even think to include Austin Aries on that list, if anything I should be the FAVORITE to win this match and who does he pick instead? Roman Reigns? Damien Sandow? There's some people in this company that have ALL the respect in the world for those two but i'm not one of them, i'm not even impressed by the fact that Damien Sandow has won the AEW World Heavyweight title twice and then I look at the Sons Of Sandow and see exactly what's wrong with this company and that's brings me to Roman Reigns who couldn't get the job DONE when it mattered most, I mean he did take Gunner to the limit at AEW 2: Gunner vs Reigns, there's no denying that but that's not the point.. the thing to remember though is he DIDN'T win. I guess that it just goes to show..if Booker T knew anything he wouldn't be a color commentator. "

Austin Aries pauses for a moment and looks away from the camera, looking at some of the other plagues down the hallway then looks back at the camera and continues.

"The thing is..I should of been put in this hall of fame years ago, iv'e accomplished more then a lot of the wrestlers he--"

Before Austin Aries could finish what he was about to say, a father and son approach him..unable to believe who's standing in front of them.

one happy father | DAN;
"Hey son, look who it is.."

a young fan | DANNY;
"Oh My God..I can't believe it..it's Austin Aries!!"

The boy has a big smile on his face as he looks at Austin Aries. A double looks back at him with a cocky smile on his face.

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"You got that right, kid and I don't blame you for being excited..who wouldn't be excited meeting Austin Aries?"

What Austin Aries said totally goes over the kids head and he gets ready to ask a question.

one happy father | DAN;
"We're both really big fans of yours!.."

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"I wish I could say I was surprised to hear that but I get that ALL the time."

a young fan | DANNY;
"Yeah, your one of my favorite wrestlers."

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"One Of? I should be THE favorite."

a young fan | DANNY;
"I would say your almost as good as CM Punk."

Austin Aries looks over at the father with a smirk then back to the kid as he begins to speak.

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"It's the other way around..CM Punk is ALMOST as good as me."

one happy father | DAN;
"Don't worry about him..he doesn't know any better."

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"It's obvious he doesn't know any better.."

one happy father | DAN;
"Infact my son has something he wants to ask you."

a young fan | DANNY;
"Could I possibly get your autograph??"

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"That depends..do you have twenty dollars?"

After Austin Aries says that the father steps in not looking too happy and really, who could blame him.

one angry father | DAN;
"What the hell is the matter with you? Just give him the autograph!"

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"Why should I do that? I should a charging a hundred bucks for my autograph..i'm the greatest man that ever lived."

one angry father | DAN;
"Ohhh c'mon man..he's just a kid."

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"So what, he could probably take my autograph and sell it for a thousand dollars.."

one angry father | DAN;
"Man, I don't know how you sleep at night."

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"Ohhh I sleep very well, thank you."

Austin Aries looks at the Dad with a big smile after he says that

one angry father | DAN;
"Forget it..my son doesn't deserve this crap."

Dan takes his son by the hand and they both turn around and walk the other way but before they leave he says something to Austin Aries.

one angry father | DAN;
"I very much doubt CM Punk would do something like this to his fans"

the greatest man that ever lived | AUSTIN ARIES;
"I'd be surprised if anyone ACTUALLY wanted his autograph."

They both once again turn around but this time walk through the front door and disappear from view. The camera goes back to Austin Aries who still has a smile on his face and just by looking at his face we can tell that confrontation didn't bug him one bit and it looked like he enjoyed it.

"I can't tell you how many times over the last few weeks iv'e heard someone say that they were gonna be the next World Heavyweight Champion. I mean, it's a nice dream but a lot of the men that made this claim don't even deserve to LOOK at the belt. It's no secret that ever since my return to this company I have had my sights set on winning the tag team titles..everybody knows that but when you have a chance to win the the very belt that everybody dreams about..the tag titles don't matter. Ask every man on the roster what's the one title they all want and you'll get the same answer, holding that title means that your the BEST at that time and as I look at ALL the people taking part in this match and it's pretty obvious who deserves to win it, not CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Roman Reigns, John Cena or Damien Sandow for that matter but me..The Common Denominator Of Greatness..AUSTIN ARIES."

"Over the last little while iv'e heard people talk about this match and the participants but none of them have thought to mention Austin Aries..like i'm not a threat when in REALITY..i'm the biggest threat to leave this event with that title. As I look at all the armies of Wrestle War, from the Sons Of Sandow to Legacy to the Brass Ring Club and they ALL have one thing in common..a OVERATED leader! I mean in what twisted, messed up world is Damien Sandow a SAVIOR? I think that was somebodies idea of a joke and it makes me wonder why Kurt Angle has chosen to follow Damien Sandow when it's obvious who has more TALENT between the two. That brings me to you, Cesaro..talk about someone that's delusional, he talks about winning the Intercontential title like he actually won it but the truth is..he stole that belt and never deserved, now he stands as the leader of the Brass Ring Club and I have about as MUCH respect for your group as I have for you Cesaro..NONE. You see..I don't need an army to get the job done at Wrestle War..I can do it ALL by myself."

"CM Punk I think it would be quite fitting to begin with you. Over the last little while theres been lots of questions asked with regards to CM Punk and one of those questions has been.."what happened to CM Punk?" its been asked over and over again, people don't understand how a man could go from the so called "best in the world" to a NOBODY..attacking women and being a shell of his former self. To tell you the truth I never liked CM Punk but then again there wasn't a whole lot to like about him in the first place and I NEVER understood all that hype with him over the years, thats the one thing that he brings to the ring...nothing but HYPE. It really isn't his fault that he couldn't live up to all that hype associated with his name, not many men could live up to that but I definitely CAN..evertime I step into that ring and sometimes I even exceed the hype. The first time I heard someone say that CM Punk was the best in the world I really had to question their sanity, I thought no one in their right mind could possibly think that..well maybe his mother but no one else."

Austin Aries begins to slowly walk down the hallway, looking at more of the plaques but he quickly stops as one of the many plaques catches his eye and the AEW camera zooms to see Austin Aries looking at a old title belt, clearly making him think about the AEW Championship.

"This match at Wrestle War is my moment to shine, my moment to PROVE to all the doubters that Austin Aries is much more then just a tag team wrestler, much more then just another name on the roster. I will leave Wrestle War as the NEW World Heavyweight Champion..why? because I have to, the truth is I've only scratched the surface of the greatness that I am capable of. You see..a lot of the men on the roster WANT that title but I on the other hand NEED that title..it's as simple as that and I don't even have to beat anyone to walk away with that title, just be the last man standing and I plan on doing just that at Wrestle War and to accomplish this goal there isn't anything that I won't do to get the job done. Everyone knows what iv'e accomplished during my time in AEW, Television Champion, Tag Team Champion and that was all great but it WASN'T the AEW title."

"Everyone knows that The Miz and I together make the greatest tag team in the history of this company but we both agree that when it comes to that title..EVERYTHING goes out the window and no matter what happens between us at Wrestle War..it was just business. At the moment I enter this match i'm eliminating anyone that gets in my way and showing the world what this match is all about one person at a time. Now I may not have the size that Roman Reigns and Damien Sandow have but the one thing I do bring is speed and that's my advantage against everybody in this match, the reason i'm not even worried about winning the whole thing."

"To be successful in a match like this you need two things..stamina and ring awareness and I obviously have BOTH, I mean just look at some of the things that I have done in my career..it speaks for itself and that's why iv'e said time and time again that NO ONE is better then Austin Aries ever and that's not me just being arrogant, thats me speaking the truth. The more I think about all the people taking part in this match the BETTER I feel about winning the whole thing, just look at my competition..Mr Anderson, Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Sami Callihan, Dolph Ziggler, all of them have talent in their own way but NONE of them have what I bring to the ring week after week, brains and a wrestling ability that NOBODY can match, none of them even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Austin Aries. Several weeks from now when people are talking about this match they will REMEMBER it as the start of a new era in AEW and it begins when I become the World Heavyweight Champion and take my rightful place at the top of this company, DVD's for this event will be sold out in minutes..all because my face is on the cover of it. AEW...Wrestle War is my TIME and I will show the WORLD that I am.."

Austin Aries looks at the camera with a big smile on his face, he then walks past the camera man and heads for the staircase leading to the next floor. The camera now pans and we get one final look at some of the plaques on the wall, some of the greatest wrestlers in history. It's no surprise that Austin Aries decided to come here before Wrestle War considering that for some of these wrestlers..there was one defining moment where they stood as the absolute best and that's exactly how Austin Aries feels heading into Wrestle War.
